Is the Background Check run by the credit bureau nationwide?

Yes, the background check is Nationwide (not international). 

Reports are typically run by TransUnion. 

When setting up a transaction and receiving the reports, the reports will state which company ran the reports.

Certain jurisdictions may not be covered because of local laws and/or lack of digitization.

Keep in mind that if an applicant does not have a valid US SSN, they can generate their background and eviction reports with an ITIN if they have lived in the US for a while
